![]() ![]() Imho, I don't think shadowblade would be good main character. Just had to accept it that there are stuffs I'll never find out. ![]() I also don't tend to play campaign more than once. Therefore you can't really expected to experience it all with one go. I'm almost complete my 1st playthrough with an elf as main, then team with red prince, dwarf and Ifan.Įvery characters, even act as companion, have quite unique side-story, and sometime take lead in some conversations. If you're only planning to play once, then the 6 man party makes sense, I imagine it would make the game easier but there are also increased difficulty mods if you need that. All their best damage is done from behind or using rogue skills but supplementing those with a summoned monster, invisibility, and heal, are quite useful.ģ. A properly built rogue should be able to take out (incapacitate or kill) nearly any single target on the battlefield in a single round by mid level. My Sebille was a shadowblade and this was how I opened every fight. It's a nice addition to the game but doesn't change much.Ģ. The way romances work in the game, there isn't much different in your interactions until after the "romance" scene and then very little afterward. Then the second time I did the opposite (played as Lohse and Romanced Sebille) and felt the same way. In my first playthrough I was Sebille and romanced Lohse - I really enjoyed that, it was well written and just what I wanted with a Lohse romance. If you want to Romance Lohse, then don't play as her, though you can always choose someone else to romance as her and experience it from that direction. in fact, even if you're playing it again you should because you'll get something unique out of each playthrough if you rotate through Origins.ġ.a. If you're only planning on playing the game once, then yes, you should most certainly play as an Origin character. If I play on tactician difficulty, will this balance out the advantage of having 6 characters in my party? I want the game to be challenging enough to make me think out my tactics without being impossible.ġ. I really like 6 character parties, so I downloaded the mod that allows you to do so. ![]() Is this a viable strategy in this game?ģ. I'm thinking of making a shadowblade as my main character who can teleport behind enemies that are being tanked for backstabiness. ![]() That said, would it make more sense overall to play AS her so I can experience her quest more fully or NOT play as her so I can romance her and be exposed to more of her unique dialog?Ģ. I have watched each Origin character's intro backstory video, and I found Lohse the most interesting and charming of the characters, and with the Origin story that interested me the most, and also the most likely I would romance if it's a possiblity. I read that you should play an Origin character first. Sometimes I've seen something that sounds good, only to find a mod needs an update or conflicts with something else.Just picked up this game, and generally speaking I'm not the type of person who plays through a game more than once, so I want to make the most of my first play through. I'd probably check the Larian forum too for mods that are endorsed and also look at the comments on individual mods. I don't know enough about the mods here to know if they can be safely installed/uninstalled post new-game and like most games, probably depends on the mod. It's difficult to get good mod feedback here as it's not nearly on the scale of other games and many mods are for Dungeon Master mode. Problem is:Ģ) Will certain mod/mod combinations break my game. I have to say I wasn't too sure myself and would normally advocate playing it mod free first time around but i know that I will tend to jump about from game to game so given the size of this it is unlikely I would be playing it over and over so I wanted to make it the best possible if you get me.Īh, well if you're not a habitual replayer of games like me, then I'd say yes, make the experience as best as can. To each their own though.Ĭheers I appreciate your opinion. My philosophy is to mod on a replay and play the game as it was meant to be played. There is nothing even close to Skyrim-level improvements needed like the UI. Crafting I would like improved but I haven't seen the mod to know if it is also a balance changer or prone to breaking the game in any way. Sure I'm not fond of some of the traits the companions have but to change that just makes them more powerful.
